By trusting they have the power to make the most of themselves, we help young people unlock their own potential. The Key are a youth development charity that uses a network of trusted and trained adults from any profession or background to support young people aged 11-25 to think, plan, do and review a project that takes them through a journey of discovery and skills development.

This journey provides them with practical, real life opportunities to develop the personal skills and confidence needed to live sustainable and independent lives and to become meaningfully engaged with their communities. Through The Key, young people learn by doing.

They experience first-hand how effort can reap rewards and what it feels like to achieve and succeed. Our beautifully simple model, breaks down barriers, binds communities and empowers people to get involved and do things for themselves.
