George, Robert, Timothy and Thomas, and The Brolly Man - an illustrated talk by Martin Peagam

Birtley Heritage Group invite you to join us on Tuesday 6th October at Birtley library

The Time Traveller, Martin Peagam, tells the illustated story of some of the famous - and not so famous - men AND women behind the Stockton & Darlington Railway.

These people – whether as entrepreneurs, engineers, or providers of services – all have fascinating stories, and show that the success of the railway that was the blueprint for all those that followed cannot be attributed to one person but was the product of a variety of people, each with their own interests and experiences.

Some experienced triumph, some experienced tragedy, some experienced both.

No need to book - just turn up and pay at the door (cash only please) £3 admission
